- ➤ Four ambassadors are training this week for Scranton Tomorrow's Downtown Ambassador Program—designed to help keep downtown clean and vibrant. They will provide on-street cleaning, maintenance and hospitality Monday through Friday and will begin work on Tuesday. WNEP

- ➤ Less than 24 hours before La Festa Italiana starts, vendors in downtown Scranton are busy preparing for the free festival’s 49th year of Italian food and live entertainment. Tyler Connor from Da Vinci Pizza is getting supplies ready—such as cases of pepperoni, pounds of cheese, and pizza ovens—to serve an expected 120,000 guests. PA Homepage

- ➤ Lackawanna County will hold a special meeting today at 9 a.m. at the County Government Center to vote on placing Commissioner Matt McGloin's unexpired term on the November ballot— a plan prompted by his resignation six months ago amid court cases and internal party disputes.
